Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival

This weekend amongst a million other things I was able to carve up a couple of hours and went to the Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival.
I was so HAPPY to have the time to spend with my friends, to walk around and to see all the beautiful fiber and great, beautiful work done by so many creative artists.
I felt so happy and so privileged to be there.
Next year I do want to plan to go for the whole day.
My dear friend Shan just had a surgery on Wednesday, but she is such a trooper and was there with us...I was so happy she could make it...

These are my wonderful friends :

I love this shawl... thinking about making one ...

I got so excited about all the animals that give us our beautiful fiber ...

I forgot to take picture of the yarn ...and boy they had beautiful, wonderful, luscious yarn...
If you want to see the beautiful yarn they had go and visit Teresa here teresakasner.blogspot.com. She did a wonderful job showing the festival and took wonderful pictures.
I was too excited and forgot to take better pictures. Thanks Teresa :)
We were going to try to meet in person but it didn't work this time , I hope we will meet sometime since we don't live far from each other.

I only got one ball of a beautiful purple yarn (here is the purple again... I just love it ) and 1 more little sheep for my collection (every year when I go to a knitting and crochet festival or show I get a little sheep and then a little collection have started ...it is still very little but it's growing). This time I got him...
Meet Jorge ...He is so cute ... and my friend Natalie named him...

And here is Jorge joining his friends...

Sorry this last picture is really dark...The light is just not good at all in the evening here in my house, but I was  so excited to tell you about my weekend I couldn't wait to take a picture in daylight...

Thanks so much for being such great friends...It's so fun to have new (and old) friends with whom I can share my happy moments...

Thanks for visiting and I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have an even better week...
See you soon...
:)
PS: I did finish my blue cowl, but I/m too tired today to take pictures... will show you later on my next post...:)

Update on my Ripple Blanket

Today I opened my blog and found out that I never put the pictures on my updated ripple blanket...
I have been working on it and trying to relax a bit...
So here we go...
My ripple blanket as it is today...
I few like it is not growing very fast, but sometimes I don't even have the time to finish 1 row...
so as it goes I
I row, row row my boat...gently down the stream...
merely ... merely, merely...
life is but a dream...
I'm very happy with how it is turning out ... but it looks like it will be a while before I finish it...:)

This week my objective is to finish this cowl I started last week...
when I show you the finished project I will give details about it.

So, now that I showed you what I've been working on I'm going to make some tea, go upstairs and get to work a little before I go nighty night...

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you soon again...
Have a great week!!!

School is in session...

Yes school is in full force and going ...
Last week my kids had their first Mass of the year ...
They got all dressed up and they look so cute...

Aren't they so cute???
Yes, I'm a very proud Mom :)

I have been so very busy since they started school.
But I always find a little bit of time to work on something ... sometimes I feel overwhelmed by how many projects I start...
I have one for when I'm in meetings, one for when we travel, when for when I'm watching my son play soccer (right now), one for watching TV, one for when I want to concentrate... well with all these projects sometimes I feel like I never finish anything...

So right now I stopped everything and I'm working on my ripple blanket again...I'm going to give sometime...organize my projects bu priority and start working on one at a time until I finish some of them before starting another one...

I know all of you know exactly what I'm talking about...
I know I don't need medication, but I gotta get my knitting ADD under control...
For now I'm enjoying my ripple blanket and the sweet sound of the ocean...(which is what this blanket reminds me of)

I have to run ... one of my great friends, who I love dearly, is in the hospital to have a gaul bladder surgery and I'm going to visit her :( Your prayers will really help her today:)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon again...

My Purple Bag

It has been a while that I wanted to make a new Knitting PURPLE BAG for me ... One that really shows my favorite color (Purple) and also that I knitted myself...
I had looked for a while and I could have gone really crazy ...but I also wanted a simple but charming pattern...
I have made many knitted bags, but I always come back to this simple pattern (which is my own) and then made the flowers from a Noni pattern (which is a bought pattern)...

So ... I started with this ...

(noticed my purple nails ??? ;)

Then I made these...

And I got this ...

My very own Purple Bag (well, actually black and purple. But the inside is all purple... I'll show you soon ...I promise :))

Sorry the pictures are not the greatest (the light is terrible in the house at night), but I really, really wanted to show it to you...

I have been working on a few other projects, but I tell you... 1st week of school and 2 High Schoolers in the house now...I'm exhausted and more than ready to go to bed and relax a little bit...
I'm just so very glad today is FRIDAY :) :) :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and I hope you come to visit me again soon.
:)
